Peppermint Creams

Yesterday we made Peppermint Creams as part of our Literacy unit on instructions. Can you write down a set of instructions on how to make them?
Remember to include the key features of an instructional text but pay specific attention to your adverbs, imperative verbs, time words and those subordinate clauses, don’t forget the comma!

New Year Resolutions

This year I have decided I’m going to try and be more healthy and go for one long walk every weekend. What is your New Year resolution?

Electricity fun

Just look at our fabulous switches! We investigated what materials conduct and insulate electricity then we made our own switch that we could slide, push, or even flick. Can you explain how your switch worked?

Homework 22nd September

Sorry that we ran out of time this afternoon to write down our individual spellings onto our spelling sheet. If you can’t remember yours, don’t worry, we’ll go through them on Monday. However, in the meantime, you can find the spelling list under the Literacy section, page 16.

For the times table games, look in the Maths Games section. Remember we’ll be looking at times by 6, 7 and 8 next week to see what we know and then I’ll be setting an individual times table / division fact for you to work on each week.

Have a lovely weekend year 4!

Behaving like particles

Today, in Science, we talked about the properties of solids, liquids and gases. We sorted objects according to their state and acted like the particles in these states. Can you explain how the particles behave differently?
